A man killed in a crash desperate to save his injured wife barters with archangels who return him as a healing but blundering dolphin that gets trapped in a theme park.

Story synopsis:

Gung-ho football coach Elmer Dawson is killed in a car crash that leaves his star ballerina wife with paralyzed legs.

A desperate Elmer barters with Archangels to return to help Kelly, especially now, with her parents separating.

The Celestials finally relent…with a caveat: the only body available for Elmer’s “spirit” to inhabit is a healing, blundering feral dolphin! He agrees only to face numerous obstacles until a ferocious Killer Whale, with his own mate in peril, befriends him.

Elmer arrives just as Kelly attempts a suicide drowning…

Kelly’s old boyfriend Sam, now a marine biologist, sees her bond with the dolphin as truly magical…as do his greedy mammal theme park bosses.

When Elmer is captured, groomed to be a theme park performer, Kelly’s family paints Sam a traitor.

As Dolphin Elmer’s time on earth dwindles, mankind, mammals and the ethereal join forces in this often humorous deeply moving tale.

                     The RUMSPRINGA Incident

                                  An original screenplay

                              David Orange & Kurt Teske

                                story by David Orange

A young Old Order Amish beauty and a brash forbidden Outsider neighbor have a secret affair while the clan’s bishop purses to marry her.

Can love overcome a radical clash of cultures: the cloistered Christianity of the Old Order Amish versus modern American materialism; the love of knowledge and its risks versus the safety and comfort of tradition; or the allure of celebrity and money versus duty to family and to God?  At the heart of Rumspringa, Time of Temptation lays one of the most unusual love triangles in the movies:

•  ERIC STODDARD, a brash country kid with the hottest pitching arm in college baseball is labeled a  “can’t miss” future Major League star. When he returns to his father’s Pennsylvania farm to help out, a chance meeting in a secluded orchard with his “different” neighbor tears into his heart like a buzz saw.

•  SARAH STOLTZ, a beautiful young woman whose natural gifts of intelligence and healing seem thrown to the winds because she was born into the Old Order Amish and must fight for every grain of knowledge she feels compelled to learn.  Her sect, following strict Biblical gender roles, offers a rock-solid foundation of family love, ordered living, and a deep spiritual life.  Yet this foundation supports a deadly prison for this high-spirited girl who falls for forbidden outsider Eric.

•  JONAH ESCH, the strongest, most fervent and traditional young man in the Old Order, gifted with a Babe Ruthian ability to swing a baseball bat, becomes the leader of his people and then makes a radical break with everything he’s believed in order to save them from obliteration.  The intense, unusual, competitive and passionate relations among these three form the core of Rumspringa.

Major obstacles face Eric’s and Sarah’s love and none more than when he, sensing losing her, gets into a brawl that lands him in jail for manslaughter.  Will Sarah wait for Eric’s release, or will she obey the Old Order and marry Jonah?  Will Eric find the strength and insight to change his life with Sarah, or is his infatuation with her a dead end and career mistake?  Will Sarah ever become the person she knows she was meant to be?  Can she help end the awful plague of genetic childhood disease caused by the inevitable inbreeding within a small Amish community “fenced off to the world.”  Who really wins when a great pitcher collides with a born slugger in one of the greatest duels in baseball  history? Will Jonah learn the true value of his tradition, and the value of  “ Time of Temptation”?

Rumspringa brings a slice of American life as unique and contemporary as tomorrow’s headlines yet as timeless as the great questions of faith, belief, success, fate and disappointment.  A heartbreaking and inspiring story not easily categorized but unforgettable and vast in scope, Rumspringa offers the mind and heart a sometimes tragic, sometimes comic epic that will leave audiences talking for years to come

                                                BELOW LEVEL 7

A screenplay by David Orange and Joel Leffert

                                                    (story by David Orange)

When a bitter, former Army special forces sergeant goes up to the mountains to kill himself, his daughter, sensing something is up, pays him a visit and then disappears, forcing him to save her from her but becoming a death sentence when getting too close to the nerve center to ghastly secret below a mesa.

SAM DAWSON, a former army Special Forces sergeant, still dealing with the bitter failure of his last mission, is supposedly hunting big game on a northern New Mexico Indian reservation. Actually, Sam has gone there to pull the trigger on his empty existence. CARLA, his daughter, a college coed, suspicious of his erratic, drunken behavior, decides to pay him a surprise visit. When Carla vanishes under mysterious circumstances, Sam, energized with new purpose, races into action.

At the abduction site, after a quick and fruitless search, the police stall Sam's efforts and seek to blame the local Indians. But one native, an aged Apache called BILLY TWO SNAKES, catches Sam's eye and points him to a mesa-topped mountain looming in the distance. Billy, whose wife had been abducted years ago, has been waiting for her return. Together, the stubborn efforts of these very different men will unlock the key to Mt. Archuleta's deep dark secret.
It seems the Apaches have been fighting a secret war for generations. Billy, invoking native history and folklore, enlists the whole tribe to help, while Sam contacts his old Special Forces buddies. Even Mother Nature has a part to play in this epic struggle.

Fighting them every inch of the way will be a covert sector of the American government that knows why people are disappearing and will do anything to protect the frightening Faustian bargain behind it.
Is it too late to protect the planet from aliens bearing gifts that our greedy government cannot resist? Sam, faced with perhaps the greatest cover-up in American history, must lead his rag-tag forces to save his daughter from a sickening fate, before he is targeted for elimination.

The unlikely catalyst in helping them proves to be one of the enemy—or at least “half” of one. EL-TE is half alien, half human Hubrid who has a real soft spot for those held captive. But can he be trusted in helping Sam’s team, or will he lead to their downfall?

Only if they free their friends from their mountain prison and expose its terrible secrets will the entire planet wake up to the dangers BELOW LEVEL 7.
